The Kubernetes attributes processor is an essential part of any OpenTelemetry Collector config when you’re running your apps on Kubernetes. You totally wanna know what pod and node each span came from, and by name, not IP address. This processor adds juicy Kubernetes-specific attributes to each span. Yum.
And now AWS has included it in their distribution of the collector. Do you know anyone who uses their distribution? I’m with Martin on this one: build your own collector image.
