Monitorama is a conference about observability. If the word “observability” had been in use in software longer, maybe it’d be called “observarama” but I’m kinda glad it isn’t.
This year, pretty much everyone assumes that OpenTelemetry is the way to go for instrumentation, transmission, and processing of telemetry. So much so that Austin Parker’s talk is “That Hater’s Guide to OpenTelemetry” … it’s so ensconced it’s safe to hate it (and still use it).
See all the videos here.
Monitorama is also among the best conferences ever (and I’ve been to over a hundred). It’s single track, great location, lots of personality, and everyone there is fun to talk to–as long as you want to talk about observability.
